The purpose of this theme is to minimize clutter and get rid of useless stuff + repair some of the bugs from original theme. This is geared towards them peeps who like the original theme (but want it to be somehow better) and already know what each doohickey on the site does (f.ex. know that picture of a handgun means the weapons tab in your stats).

I'm not officially supporting MOWF side of things. If my theme works there it's purely by coincidence. You're free to report those bugs too but I don't guarantee that those will be fixed.

Hmm, I don't know yet if I like it, or don't like it..

- Rounded bars/images/etc.;

Dislikes: - Deleted texts at all signs (minified thingy);
- Focus with the search bar, it looks like it's bugged or something;
- Status on weapon page, it just don't look right;
- Multiplayer/Co-op/Campaign images are too small.

Maybe it's a bit too much.. Or maybe I do like the regular layout.

Good work, I really like it :)

Some parts are really neat looking, others could use some tuning. All in all it's a nice theme.
I'm looking forward to see when it's complete.

While looking in the CSS file I noticed that you had support for Internet Explorer and Opera. Considering that BBLog and Battlelog isn't available/supported on those browsers they're really not needed, you could also cut file size by deleting them. The only ones that are needed are Firefox and Chrome.

I'll add what I think could use some tuning later, I'm really tired at the moment :S

Thanks guys. Really appreciate the feedback.

I'm a ps3 player so I don't get the buttons in the co-op page. Had no idea they were even there, and wondered why the hell there was that empty space above the start button.

Regarding IE/other support, very much correct. The laziness sets in when using

Will edit them out before the release. I need to shuffle things around anyways, as some stuff are under "wrong section" in the css.

Can you make time to perhaps take a screenshot of those.

I'm pretty new to Battlelog and there might and will be stuff I haven't considered, views I haven't looked at, features I haven't used. The co-op difficulty buttons are a prime example of this. Also I haven't tested at all on Firefox yet.

Anyone know how I can get the pc specific stuff to show up? Do I need to create a new account or actually own the pc version of the game?

I don't think it's possible without a own of the pc version. Battlelog is not well designed in this part (multiple soldiers).
I really like it, the only thing that i dont like is that i like the text on "weapons, dogtags ...." thing
I said I was going to add what could use some tuning, look in the attachment.

Row 1: It's messed up if you have friends playing.
Row 2: You can't see who's online or offline.
Row 3: Difficulty settings are overlapping the button.
Row 4: I'm pretty sure someone is bound to click on a link above instead of the chat sometime. (I suggest to move it up a little bit).
Row 5: It looks like the tabs are leaking onto the background. (I suggest a 2 pixel border above).
Row 6: It's the same as Row 5.

Darn pc only features. Thanks for the screenshots and feedback, invaluable.

Now I see the search box bug also. Hadn't had the time to test with Firefox yet. Usually they are pretty much identical. I'll fix these as soon as possible and try to get my hands on some pc account at some point to test stuff.

Posted version 0.9.3.

Tried to address all the stuff you guys found.

Removed styles regarding the front page quickmatch/co-op/campaign boxes as I can't test them myself at the moment. Might do something with them later though. Same with co-op difficulty setting. Also removed styles for footer (originally I hid the "highlighted" area).

Total COOP Campain Score is NOT aligned with the Action Stats because its possible to have SERVICE STARS by the Score / Star. If you have More than one Star, it will need this space like by the Class Service Stars (Star and under the Star a counter)

But i have some problems with style too.

- PC icon and server name too close (i don't know if console icon works good);
- PC icon, avatar and server names misaligned;
- "Online Friends" title misaligned;
- Some avatars are buggy (image 2);

Sugestions:
- Small "Com center" title/top bar;
- Put a smaller "Service Star" in feed;

Although this errors, i still use your style. :)

And good catch with the transparent png. I'm so used to services just converting them to have white background by default.

The pc stuff can be hard for me but I'll do my best.

it is, you have to check his stats and there is in the middle a section with COOP.

I don't have too many friends in Battlelog and most of them on console and offline so it's hard to check how they're supposed to be at the moment. I'll check the misalignments next time when I bug my pc playing friend to let me use her Battlelog account for a tiny bit. :)

On that note: Version 0.9.4 updated.

Rounded them avatars, and made service stars in the front page feed a tad bit smaller and little tweaks here and there. At least tried to fix all bugs mentioned in this thread (excluding the com center misalignment).

If no major bugs come up in the next few days I'm confident enough to turn this into 1.0 and releasing it.

Updated to 1.3 for some extra roundness so babies don't bump their heads into sharp corners.

Edit:
Also 1.3.1 so them battle report buttons play nicely with others.

Combination of those push the texts in to weird place, and I haven't played conquest assault large and didn't think of the heading being so damn wide.

Apparently my theme isn't much affected by the massive update.
There are some minor things here and there but nothing major.

I'll update the theme in a few days with some new and old tweaks. :)

NOTE: Make sure you check the credits page if you restyle it. I tried it and let's just say that the credits page used pretty much the same stuff so that got messed up.

Yeah, it goes straight to the game. The decided to make all campaign stuff be controlled in-game but all multiplayer stuff be controlled in Battlelog for some reason.

Well, it opens up the same box that pops up when you join a multiplayer server.

Decided not to waste my time with the credits page. Reason: tables. (not that anyone actually requested to make any changes to it :D)
Platoon menu roundness isn't fixed yet. I'll get to it eventually.

Small bug on the campaign page. The Platoons and Forums menus are broken when trying to hover them.

To fix it just change the "z-index" in ".campaign-content-soldier" from 1900 to 99 or lower.

Right. The 2x thing looked weird on mine so I fixed. Must've messed it up for pc peeps, as I don't have those play now buttons.

I'll probably remove the stuff I had for 2xp thing, but since the devs of battlelog fuxored the thing in the beginning it most likely will look like this for console peeps who don't have the play and whatnot buttons. (unless I manage to do something about it)

At the end of Battlelog where is the copyright thing, there is a button for change the language.

Here is another one: If you hover the mouse over a ribbon a blue square appears. I marked it with red arrows ;-)

EDIT: Is it intend to appear? If so, choose a smaller highliter. Like a blue dot in the upper corner that shows the selected one. The big blue square seems like a bug to me...

Just FYI, seniledawdler:

In ".tabs li a" and ".tabs li.active a" i create an color property and set both to #F4F4F4.

The words still here, but with identical colors with the background... :P
I have that same thing as Fnordisch!

Without the text would be better imo :D

Obviously the text shouldn't be there... and in Chrome it works as intended.

Will be fixed on Friday. Thank you for informing me of that wretched FF thing.
I use the text-indent: -999em; trick on the texts and for some reason Firefox is ignoring this. That's what I get for not testing every single thing on that browser also. Sigh.

(Firefox ignores text-indent if the tab icon is not floated and is a block. I made the tabs a bit wider and wanted to center the icons automatically instead of just putting x-amount of margin on left side but I guess I'll have to do that)

Did a small update. No one probably notices the changes but there are some. Mainly rounding of stuff.

I've considered a dark theme based on this but at the moment I don't have time for the maintenance and everything that comes with making a theme. Changing the colors basically forces you to redo many of the images used on the site as they all have white/light background and that takes way more time than tweaking the css code.

But I'll keep the dark theme in mind.

Update to version 1.4.7

Removed broken stuff. Something still might be a bit out of place like avatars of different sizes but everything should be still very usable.

I'll fiddle with the theme and will do gradual updates and keep minimizing the mess called Battlelog.
Is this theme still in development? I ask because it has no update since 4 months and battlelog has changed a lot since that time. And it's in the theme switcher, so, is it still looking fine?

Minilog is still active and works/looks fine as far as I know. Only thing a little out of line at the moment is avatar on the soldier pages but it's not distracting really.

BF4 is so close I'm waiting for them to destroy the whole layout and continue from that. Good that you're keeping tabs on everything. :)
