(this appears for my mate's bblog as well)
When I select the region filter, I.E Oceania, the check boxes, country pictures and country's names are missing.

Maybe it was your ISP trolling you.
Glad to hear it worked itself out, I changed this thread to "REJECTED" because it solved itself :)
