In the latest update, at Reload Treshold it says: If you switch the weapon during reloading and before this time the reload attempt be cancelled.

Just to make it a bit more clear that could be changed to something like: If you switch weapon before this time has passed while reloading, the reload will be cancelled and you will not get new ammo in your weapon. Not empty/Empty.
